SSC CGL 2023 Exam Pattern (Revised)

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam pattern along with SSC CGL Notification 2023. The Examination will be conducted in 2 tiers as indicated below:

The complete SSC CGL 2023 Syllabus for different stages of examination in the SSC CGL 2023 notification is released by the commission. The 4 main subjects from which the questions will be asked in the examination for SSC CGL 2023 notification are:

SSC CGL 2023 Exam Pattern for Tier 1

The first stage in the selection process is an objective computer-based examination. SSC CGL 2023 Tier 1 consists of 100 questions, containing 25 questions each from 4 different subjects viz Quantitative aptitude, reasoning, English, and general awareness, the questions will be asked from the syllabus of 6th to 10th standard. Candidates can follow the table provided below, to know the examination pattern of the first stage in the selection process.

SSC CGL 2023 Exam Pattern For Tier 2 (Revised)

Staff Selection Commission has revised the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern. Candidates must check the new changes as made in the exam pattern. The SSC CGL Tier-2 exam will be conducted in 3 phases- Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. Paper I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper II for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, and Paper III for candidates who apply for the posts of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III.

The Commission changed the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam pattern altogether. There were four papers in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam but under the new pattern, the number of papers is reduced to three only. The details of the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam pattern are given below:
