SSC CPO Notification 2019-20 Out

SSC CPO 2019-20 is being conducted to recruit candidates to the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police, Sub Inspector in CAPFs, Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF, Inspector posts and Sub Inspector Posts. Finally the wait is over as Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the the notification for the SSC CPO 2019-2020 exam. The SSC CPO 2019-20 Paper 1 exam is expected to be held within 11th December 2019 to 13th December 2019.

SSC CPO 2019 Exam Dates

SSC CPO Application Fee

A total of Rs. 100/- is the application fee to be paid by male candidates belonging to General and OBC category for SSC CPO 2019 exam. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee.

SSC CPO Vacancy 2019

The total number of vacancies for SSC CPO vacancy 2019-20 Exam has not been published by SSC yet. Last year, for Staff Selection Commission of India had increased the overall SSC CPO Vacancy from 1223 to 1557. The vacancies of SSC CPO 2019-20 exam will be updated here once it has been released by SSC.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern 2019

Questions asked in both the paper-1 and paper-2 of SSC CPO 2019 will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions asked will be bilingual, i.e. in both Hindi and English. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer marked by a candidate on his/her OMR Answer Sheet. SSC CPO 2019 Exam will be conducted in three phase:

•Paper-1

•PET, PST and Medical Test.

•paper-2

The final merit list will be tabulated on the basis of a candidate’s performance in all the three phases of SSC CPO Exam.

SSC CPO 2019 Eligibility

There are 2 criteria that a candidate needs to fulfil in order to be eligible for SSC CPO 2019 Exam.

Educational Qualifications (As on 01.01.2020)

1. A candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised University.

2. For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police (only) – Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

•Minimum Age Limit – 20 years

•Maximum Age Limit – 25 years

SSC CPO 2019 Admit Card

SSC will release the Admit Card for SSC CPO Paper I & Paper II separately. Candidates who would register for SSC CPO 2019 will be able to download the Admit Card for Paper I & II much before the date of conduct of the exam. Admit Cards are made available on the official website of SSC; registered students will require their registration details to download SSC CPO Admit Card.

SSC CPO Exam Cut Off

The SSC CPO Cut-Off 2018-19 will be released after the examination of each phase is complete. The cut off for the Paper-1 will be released first followed by cut off for Paper-2. Candidates can evaluate their chances of clearing SSC CPO 2017 by matching their score with the cut off marks list released by SSC.

Eyesight:
The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses. The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.

Physical Efficiency(Endurance) Test(PET) ( For all posts)

Only those candidates, who have scored above the cut off marks fixed by the Commission in Paper I would be required to appear in the Physical Endurance Test/Medical examination.

Physical endurance test will not carry any marks but will be of qualifying/ elimination nature.
For male candidates only
  • 100 meters race in 16 seconds
  • 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes
  • Long Jump : 3.65 metres in 3 chances
  • High Jump : 1.2 metres in 3 chances
  • Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chance
For female candidates only
  • 100 metres race in 18 seconds
  • 800 metres race in 4 minutes
  • Long Jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances.
  • High Jump : 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances.
Only those candidates who qualified in PET/ PST will be called for Paper-II and the Medical Examination would be conducted subsequently.

Medical Examination 

  • All the candidates who qualify in the PET will be medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon belonging to Grade I of any Central/ State Govt. Hospital or Dispensary.
  • Candidates who are found to be unfit, will be informed of the position and they can make an appeal before Review Medical Board within the prescribed time limit of 15 days.
  • Decision of Re-Medical Board/Review Medical Board will be final and no appeal/ representation against the decision of the ReMedical Board/Review Medical Board will be entertained.
