Eligibility Criteria for NIELIT Recruitment (2017):
Educational Qualification: 
For Scientist-‘B’: Candidates should have passed B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering OR B.E./B.Tech. in Information Technology OR B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication OR B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication OR M.Sc. (Physics) with one year of relevant experience OR M.Sc. (Electronics/Applied Electronics) with one year of relevant experience.
For Scientific/Technical Assistant-‘A’: Candidates should have passed M.Sc./MS/MCA/B.E./B.Tech. in any stream from a recognised university.
Age Limit (as on 28-08-2017): Maximum 30 years
Age Relaxation:

Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of the Written Examination and Personal Interview.

Application Fee: General Candidates have to pay Rs. 800/- by online mode through net-banking/credit or debit cards. SC/ST/PWD and Women candidates don’t have to pay any fee.

  • Scientist ‘B’ 
    Apply if you are a BE/ B.Tech. in CS, IT, EC, EE. You can also apply if you are M.Sc in Physics /Electronics with 1 year experience.
  • Scientific/Technical Assistant ‘A’
    Apply if you are an M.Sc./MS/MCA/B.E/B.Tech in Physics, Electronics, CS, EC, EE, ME, CE, Management, GIS, Mathematics, etc.

#4. Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure for NIELIT Recruitment for Scientist

  • To get selected as a Scientist or Technical Assistant with NIELIT, you will have to appear for a Written Examination.
  • The Written Exam will be Objective Type Offline Test.
  • The Written Exam will be of 120 marks.
  • There will be 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.
  • Minimum qualifying requirement is 50% for General, 40% for OBC and 30% for the SC/ST categories
  • Once you clear the Written Exam, you will be called for an Interview in Delhi.
