JAIIB Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Only those applicants who are already employed in the banking and finance industry are eligible to apply for the JAIIB exam. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The candidates who wish to apply for the exam must have qualified 12th exam or any other exam of equivalent status.
- At the institute’s discretion, students, not having cleared the 10+2 exams may be allowed to sit for the JAIIB Exam. In such cases, the candidates must obtain permission from the manager or officer in charge of the bank.
- Members of the Institute who are subordinate staff of recognized banking or financial institutions in India are eligible for the examination if they have passed the 12th standard examination or its equivalent.
- Candidates must be employed in the banking and financial services industry, and their employers must be members of the Institute.
How to Apply for the JAIIB Exam 2024?
To register for the JAIIB 2024 exam, candidates must go to the IIBF website and log in with their unique membership number and password. They are required to fill in information such as the preferred mode, media, exam center, and the bank/institute where they work. After filling out the form, the candidates must pay the registered fees using a debit or credit card or net banking. Only online modes of payment are accepted.
The detailed stepwise approach to applying for the exam is as under –
Step 1: Visit the site iibf.org.in.for the application form
Step 2: On the left side of the screen of the Home page, click the ‘Examination / Courses‘ Option
Step 3: Select for the ‘Flagship Courses‘
Step 4: Choose the option ‘ JAIIB‘, and you will be redirected to the JAIIB online application page.
Step 5: Enter all the basic information
Step 6: A unique Registration number will be generated
Step 7: The registration number and password will be issued by message and e-mail.
Step 8: Fill in all of the required fields on the application form.
Step 9: All needed documents must be uploaded.
Step 10: Before submitting the final application, you must pay the application fee.
Step 11: For future reference, print out the JAIIB application form.
JAIIB Fees 2024
Eligible candidates are given 5 attempts to clear the exam over 3 years. The application fees are valid for 3 years. The application process is not complete until the JAIIB application fee is paid. Candidates must pay the JAIIB application fee by the deadline set by the IIBF. You will be charged an extra fee if you pay the fee after the deadline. JAIIB Fees with GST
Note: The candidates also need to pay GST applicable on the exam application fees. GST is exclusive of application fees
The registration for the exam varies with the number of attempts. The fees are as follows:

- The institute charges a regular fee from the candidates who register during the first week of registration for the exam. With every week’s delay, the institute charges an extra amount from the candidates.
- For the candidates registering in the second or third week, the fees include an extra Rs. 100, and for those in the fourth week, it is an extra Rs 200. If registration is delayed beyond the fourth week, the extra amount charged is Rs 200 for the extended days.

JAIIB Exam 2024 Mode of Exam
The JAIIB exams are conducted twice a year, in May and October. The candidates are required to sit for four exams which are held in the weekends. The exams are conducted in offline mode.
JAIIB Exam 2024 Exam Pattern
The format for the JAIIB exam 2024 is multiple-choice questions. The total number of questions in each paper is 100, and the maximum mark is 100 marks. There is NO negative marking.
To qualify for the exam, the candidate is required to secure a 50% in all three subjects or a minimum of 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate 50% in all four papers in a single attempt.

Time Limit for Completion of the JAIIB Exam
The candidate is not given more than 5 consecutive attempts to clear the exam. Therefore, a candidate should qualify for the exam within 3 years of registration. Candidates who fail to clear the exam in the given number of attempts need to register for the exam again, and the benefit of the previously cleared paper is waived off.
JAIIB Exam 2024 Syllabus
The candidates are tested for four subjects in the exams. These are

- Principles and Practices of Banking
- Accounting and Finance for Bankers
- Retail Banking and Wealth Management
This is the updated exam pattern for JAIIB 2024. Candidates taking the JAIIB exam 2024 must study extensively because the IIBF has set a large syllabus for the exam. The institute has developed its own courseware for JAIIB exam candidates.
