Eligibility Criteria for IB Security Assistant/Executive:

 

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10th from recognized board and have knowledge of local language.

 

Age Limit: Maximum 27 years

Age Relaxation:

Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Written Test (Tier I), Descriptive Type (Tier II) and Interview/Personality Test (Tier III).
 

Application Fee: General/OBC candidates have to pay Rs. 50 through online mode using Net-banking/Credit or Debit Card. SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Women candidates don’t have to pay any fee.

IB Security Assistant Exam Pattern 2018

The Selection Procedure of MHA will comprise three Tiers. Students had to clear all the 3 phases to get recruited as an Intelligence Bureau Security Assistant. Let us now discuss all the essentials involved in these rounds.

  1. Tier I (Written Exam)
  2. Tier II ( Language Test)
  3. Tier III (Interview/ Personality Test)

The Tier I exam will contain a Written Exam of Objective type MCQs, divided into 4 parts containing questions of 1 marks each. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer marked by the candidate. For your ease, let us formulate the exam pattern in the form of a table:

  • Each question will carry 1 mark.
  • There will be a negative marking 0f 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.

On the basis of their performance in Tier-I exam, candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-II & Tier III exam at 10 times the number of vacancies.

Tier II

Qualifying Marks: 20

  1. Translation of a passage of 500 words from Local Language to English
  2. Translation of a passage of 500 words from English to Local Language

Spoken ability (to be assessed at the time of Tier-III exam (Interview/ Personality test) 10 – (Will be tested at the time of Interview)

  • Tier II examination will be of qualifying nature.
  • Candidates would be required to obtain minimum 20/50 marks.
  • The cut-off in Tier-II is same for candidates of all categories.
Tier III Interview/ Personality Test 50 Marks
  • There is no cut-off for Tier-III exam.
  • Candidate’s language spoken ability will be tested at the time of Interview/ Personality Test.
  • As mentioned already, Tier II examination will be of qualifying nature.

Candidates would be required to obtain minimum 20/50 marks so that their marks in Tier-III could be taken into account for preparing final merit list on the basis of their performance in Tier-I & Tier-III exam.
