BPSC Recruitment – 63rd Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination

BPSC examination needs to appear in two different parts such as:

1. Preliminary examination: This paper is objective type exam. This paper is based on the qualifying examination for which candidates need to go through multiple choice questions. One needs to choose the apt answer from the available options. In all, there will be 150 questions for 1 mark each. The exam duration will be for 2 hours.
2. Main examination: This paper is a written test or one can call it a subjective type exam.

Compulsory subjects in Exam:

• English
• Mathematics

Facility for 2 Optional Subjects: The list to choose any two subjects is as follows:

• Statistics
• Zoology
• Mathematics
• Mechanical Engineering

Process of Selection:

The selection of the candidates is truly based on the performance attained in the exam and interview.

In written test, there are 4 different papers in the Main examination such as:

(i) Hindi

(ii) General Studies

(iii) First Optional Paper and

(iv)  Second Optional Paper

Total marks for Written Examination is 1200.

General Studies: It is divided into two different categories such as:

• GS Paper I
• GS Paper II

The maximum marks for GK will be 200 and need to complete in three hours. GS section is then divided into three different sections such as:

First Optional Paper –

Paper 4 – paper I of First Optional subjects for 200 Marks

Paper 5 – paper II of First Optional subject for 200 Marks

Second Optional Paper –

Paper 6 – paper I of Second Optional Subject for 200 Marks

Paper 7 – paper II of Second Optional Subject for 200 Marks

Those who have passed Main examination and prelims need to move for Personal Interview. The final selection of the candidates is based in the basis of the marks attained in Prelims, main, and interview

Download Admit Card:

You are required to have the admit card along with you while moving to the examination hall. It is crucial to acquire hall ticket by downloading from the main website. Thus, download the admit card by entering your name and registration number and admit card will appear on the screen.
