GATE (2019) – Notification, Exam Date and How to Apply

 

 

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India level entrance exam jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven IITs (Delhi, Bombay, Guwahati, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Roorkee and Madras). GATE has released a notification to select candidates for admission into the IITs and IISs. Interested candidates may check the eligibility criteria and apply online from 01-09-2018 to 21-09-2018.

Eligibility Criteria for GATE (2019):
Qualifying Examination Details of Qualifying Examination/Degree Description of Eligible Candidates Year of Qualification cannot be Later than
B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm. Bachelor’s Degree Holders in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after Diploma in Engineering/Technology) and those who are in the final year of such programs Appearing in the final year or completed 2019
B.Arch. Candidates holding Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (5-year course) Appearing in the final year or completed 2019
B.Sc.(Research)/B.S. Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Post-Diploma/4 years after 10+2) Appearing in the final year or completed 2019
M.Sc./M.A./M.C.A. or equivalent Master’s Degree in any of the streams Science, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Applications or equivalent Appearing in the final year or completed 2019

Note: Foreign Candidates should have completed or be in the final year of their Bachelor’s Degree (duration: at least 4 years) in Engineering/Technology OR must have completed or be in the final year of their Post Graduate (Master’s) Degree (duration: at least 2 years) in any relevant subject in science.
 

Selection Process: Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Written Examination.
 

Application Fee: Candidates can pay through Online mode using Net-banking/Credit or Debit Card.
