SSC JE Educational Qualification

To apply for SSC JE 2022 exam, a candidate must hold the following SSC JE educational qualification as mentioned under SSC JE notification.

Resolution of a Tie for SSC JE 2022

In the case of a tie while preparing the result, the steps mentioned below will be followed:

1) Marks obtained in Paper-2

2) Marks obtained in Paper-1

3) Seniority as per the date of birth (DOB)

4) Alphabetical order in the first names of the students

SSC JE 2022 Exam Pattern

As you are already aware that the SSC JE exam will be held for 2 papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2. Thus, to help you understand and prepare for the exam, we below have described the SSC JE Paper 1 exam pattern as well as for Paper 2 in the table below:

SSC JE Paper 1 Exam Pattern: Tier 1 Exam Pattern

  • The SSC JE Paper 1 will have 3 sections.
  • The first 2 sections will be common to all the candidates.
  • However, section 3 of SSC JE Tier 1 will have questions based on the engineering exam as per your educational qualification.
  • All the questions will be objective questions with one question of 1 mark and a negative marking of 0.25 for an incorrect answer.
  • As the SSC JE Tier 1 exam will be held in CBT mode in multiple shifts, therefore, your scores will be normalized.

SSC JE Paper 2 Exam Pattern: Tier 2 Exam Pattern

Candidates who will obtain the cut off marks in SSC JE Tier 1 will be allowed to appear for SSC JE Tier 2.

  • SSC JE Tier 2 will be based only on your core engineering paper.
  • All the questions in SSC JE Paper 2 will have to be answered in a descriptive/conventional manner.
  • You will be allowed to bring your own Slide–Rule, Calculator, Logarithm Table and Steam Table for SSC JE Tier 2 only.
